MSW Secures Use Variance & Site Plan Approval

Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP (MSW) is proud to announce that Roosevelt J. Donat, Esq., Special Counsel at MSW, successfully spearheaded the unanimous use variance, bulk variance, and preliminary and final site plan approval for Detail Oriented Contracting, LLC at 723 Springfield Avenue, Newark, New Jersey (Block 2640, Lot 37). This milestone marks the transformation of a vacant lot in the C-2 (Community Commercial and Residential) zoning district into a quality residential development serving the West Side Neighborhood of Newark’s South Ward.

The approved project introduces a new three-story, four-family residential building. The building will contain four dwelling units comprising seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, including an ADA-accessible ground-floor unit, with individual high-efficiency HVAC systems and in-unit laundry in each unit.

Roosevelt J. Donat, Esq. led the project in collaboration with professionals such as Architect Jennifer L. Palermo, R.A. of Palermo Edwards Architecture, and Civil Engineer Adnan A. Khan, P.E., C.M.E. of AWZ Engineering, Inc.

This approval was also supported by the relentless dedication of MSW’s paralegals, Stephanie McLeish and Mia Lobozzo, whose contributions were essential to the project’s success.
