Joseph A. Natale is a Partner in MSW’s Litigation and Construction Law Practice Groups. His practice focuses on resolving disputes arising from the ownership, development, leasing, construction, and operation of commercial real estate. He represents developers, property owners, investors, contractors, and construction professionals in matters involving partnership and joint venture disputes, commercial lease disputes, land and property-related claims, construction contract disputes, and other complex real estate and construction litigation.

Joseph handles all phases of litigation in state and federal courts, including pre-trial proceedings, trials, chancery matters, appeals, private arbitrations, and administrative proceedings. His experience includes disputes involving commercial real estate ownership and development, construction claims, contract controversies, partnership and joint venture conflicts, and other matters affecting commercial real estate projects. In addition to his litigation practice, Joseph advises clients on risk management and assists in the preparation and negotiation of construction-related agreements.

An active leader within New Jersey’s legal community, Joseph currently serves as Treasurer of the Young Lawyers Division of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is Co-Chair of its Membership Committee. He is also a member of the NJSBA’s Membership Committee, Equity Jurisprudence Special Committee, and Business and Commercial Litigation Special Committee. Joseph additionally serves as a Trustee of the Morris County Bar Foundation and is Co-Chair of the Morris County Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee.

Joseph’s accomplishments have earned widespread recognition. He was named the Morris County Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year in 2024 and received the NJBIZ “Leaders in Law – Rising Star” award and the New Jersey Law Journal’s “New Leaders of the Bar” recognition in 2025. He has also been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Commercial Litigation and Professional Malpractice Law and in Super Lawyers New Jersey Rising Stars for Business Litigation.

Before entering private practice, Joseph served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Owen C. McCarthy, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage, Law Division, Civil Part.
