On Monday, January 27th, the Newark Central Planning Board approved plans for a 40-unit mixed-use development in Downtown Newark, granting preliminary and final site plan approval, along with multiple variances and waivers.

The development plans proposed adding a new four (4) story building above an existing commercial building, resulting in a five (5) story mixed-use building with forty (40) residential units, a ground floor parking garage, 885 square feet of commercial retail space, a residential lobby, and a partial green roof.
